John has more than 25 years of experience in education, personal training, and behavioral change. He is a licensed special education teacher and high school psychology teacher in the State of Virginia. He has worked extensively as a behavioral modification specialist, transition specialist, and special education teacher specializing in ADHD, ADD, emotional disturbances, and other at-risk populations for over 25 years.

He specializes in how we grow and evolve throughout life. Always interested in alternative modes of healing. He understands that there is no one cure for any individual and he seeks to find the best growth path for each individual for each stage of life.

John is also a certified master personal trainer with over 25 years of experience as gym owner and trainer. He is an NSCA- and NCSF-certified trainer and professional member. He has owned the Fitness Together and Midlife Refocus wellness center in Northern Virginia. He specializes in adult fitness and wellness and maximizing sports performance for adolescents and teens.

As a certified hypnotherapist and certified NLP practitioner with 15 years experience, John is able to help others fully integrate and develop their mind, body, and spirit. He is committed to helping others to create a balanced portfolio of skills to help them change individual and family behaviors to help them realize a more self-actualized life.

Ellen Flores, Personal Trainer

Ellen is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Personal Training Institute, as well as a retired Physician Assistant. She combines a career in medicine with her passion for fitness. She has over 10 years of experience working as a Personal Trainer.

She is passionate about helping people transform their lives, through improving their health and fitness. She has extensive experience working with clients new to exercise, as well as those recovering from illness, injury and surgery. Her personal journey into fitness began about 15 years ago, after an injury and a complete recovery through regular exercise. This has taken her from couch potato to working out 6 days a week consistently. It’s included significant weight loss, weight gain, and loss again, and seen her through multiple surgeries.

She now enjoys working with clients who are ready to begin their own journey into health and wellness.
